This oil painting, not unlike the others, took many weeks to complete working two hours at a sitting since I lose focus if I try to work longer. After many sessions when I think I'm finished and I feel like I can't look at it any more, I put it aside on a stand walking by frequently hoping I can honestly say, "It's Done!" It's not. So a few more days pass and I adjust a color here and clean up rough edges I didn't see before until I'm happy with it. Well, not exactly "happy", but decide it's time to move on to another creation.
